Description

from mexican neuroscientist, and seemingly amateur biologist, Vicente Ventura's diary:

"a number of characteristics about Tatemaes are about to be discovered. what do they eat? what are they looking at? how can they achieve levitation?

the last part has been theorized to be because of their ingest of Xatyne rich minerals as part of their diet, because Xatyne is a compound that levitates by itself, but again, there is no registry of Tatemaes eating anything. they seem to process molecules in the air as energy.

they cannot levitate higher than 10 centimiters from the ground and they bump into things by the minute, to which they just turn around and continue to levitate. it could be that the eyes are not really seeing the terrain, or maybe even seeing anything at all.

they do not seem to generate any waste either, and do not emit heat, sound or smell. the light that glows on their body when they perform a movement that could be breathing is the only form of manifestation of energy that their bodies have.

they congregate sometimes, but it could be more by chance than by any other reason.

the only thing they seem to be atracted by is light, of any kind. because of this, the natives from the island used to called them 'meat moths'. if they see a light, they will float after it. i've seen more than 10 tatemaes congregated outside the lab, around the entrance light. they pursuit light sometimes, but if they bump into enough things in their way to the light, they will just turn around and leave"

this entry was made on the "ix-pn1 island biology blog". the location of that island is still unkown
