I once asked my father to write down the two words “assimilation” and “annihilation.” I noticed that my father’s handwriting was nearly identical to my own. This became the inspiration for the neon element set against a 3D rendering of an abandoned castle in Wonderland —an unfinished amusement park project, meant to rival Disneyland, located in Chenzhuang Village, China.

This work is a first in a series being released in celebration of the artist’s public art commission, “Wonderland II,” at LAX Airport Terminal 1.
