The Mother Road travels along Route 66 from Santa Monica on the Southern California coast winding its way through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma before it heads North through Missouri and ends its path on the banks of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois. This Geological Monument stands between the Crosslands and San Antone Missions in the Navajo Nation ten miles North of Thoreau on Hwy 371 in McKinley County, New Mexico.
