I was born in Hawaii, and my thoughts often go back to that place. There is a beach on the North shore of Kauai where, at certain times of the year and sea conditions, the sunset lights up the tubes of the waves with spectacular colors, and if you're inside the tube you see an amazing light show. I've many times thought of trying to take advantage of this phenomenon with long exposure photographs and colored LEDs. This p5.js sketch is an attempt to relate with code what I see in my head for that real-world process.
