I Love & Respect these Artists so much, I've know Swarvy since 2012, Telemakus carrying the Jazz Fusion torch and Sumin, well Sumin is just my goat. Her music has been a near daily ritual the past few years. It's been an extremely difficult past few years haha. It really doesn't matter where you're at in the world, If you're completely isolated from human connection IRL and your physical health is bad enough to the point that you struggle being able to exist and function in the comfort of your own home but have to function and exist without anyone to lean on... That becomes a baseline gloom that compounds every new 24 hrs.... I know that sounds depressing but it's the reality I've been stuck in... I share this context because, it's not hyperbolic when I say, no matter how unhealthy, scared or in pain i've been, putting on the Sumin and Slom Miniseries albums have healing power. Music is pretty powerful magic universally. If you haven't experienced this phenom before, you likely haven't found the key, the soul resonance.... I'm very blessed to have this relationship and connection with what seems like an infinite amount of music... but I tend to experience and revisit albums during chapters of my life....
Ideally these albums would be better experienced out in the world, at a show, lounge, car, or with other humans who appreciate it as much as you do.
I tend to attach vivid memories to the music I create and consume, so i'm protective of what I expose myself to in less than ideal moments in time, but I made an exception for once and haven't reserved these classic's for ideal better days...
Through the music, I'm able to temporary transport back in time and into the future at the same time, the music gives me hope and heals my spirit.
I'm very thankful these albums came into my life.
I had no plans or intentions to make music today or flip this Telemakus track... but while listening to it, it gave me hope and lifted my spirits after a brief phone call with my friend Rnd1... then Adhd made me pivot, and an hour later I realised, oh ... I guess we begun flipping FIVE HANDS... crazy thing is, I don't remember how that even started....
blacked out on autopilot.... the vessel.
