This is a snippet from "Wally" in the 140th edition of the magazine "EL TONY SUPERCOLOR" published in 1988, illustrated by my father. "El Tony" was one of the most famous comic magazine in Argentina, being published from 1928 to 2000. This was recovered by a group of Argentine comic collectors and fans of he Columba editorial, which published "El Tony." The panel was cut out, dialogues were removed, and essential edits were made to keep the work as faithful to the original as possible. In my perception decontextualizing a comic panel emerges as a potent tool, sparking creative interpretations and emphasizing the autonomy of each element, inviting a profound appreciation of artistic and narrative richness within every detail.
