John Carpenter's dystopian sci-fi drama They Live transformed me from the first time I saw him pretending to wear Goerge Nada's glasses on the streets.

Carpenter creates a dark, dystopian world in brown and gray and then black and white, for my inspiration process, I chose to use a more vivid color scheme for the digital feel and no-signal TVs in the pieces. As the glasses take all the artifice out of the world in the movie, my idea is that maybe this piece will allow you to see your true nature through my glasses.
