“Enlightened” The last piece in the genesis series "Virtual Voyage" is a representation of the eye-opening experiences we go through whilst exploring. I visit this special place at least once a year, a place where the constantly shifting sand dunes meet the vast rolling waves of the ocean, mirroring one another along a 20 mile stretch of raw Australian coastline. I could visit this exact spot every day for the rest of my life and never be able to replicate this image. The thing I love most about this landscape is the endless and constantly changing variables that make each image and moment so unique. The time of year, the weather conditions, the millions of grains of sand, the tide of the ocean, all play a part in determining these unique moments in time. With the sun peaking just over the horizon, it illuminated the single dip in the dunes where I stood. A spotlight from above inviting me to capture this moment in time.
