My grandparents on the Italian side were from Venice. This city has always fascinated me and its great Carnival remains a marvel to see once in a lifetime. Through this collection I wanted to pay homage to Venetian elegance, finesse, know-how and the mystery that surrounds the incomparable city.
La Serenissima has always celebrated the arts – painting, sculpture, architecture, decorative arts, bringing in the finest materials for its buildings thanks to its commercial links with the Orient.
In the 18th century, all the arts, including those of celebration, games and pleasures, made the city famous. Venice shone brightly artistically.
The Serenissima then becomes one of the obligatory stops of the “grand tour”, one of the meetings of the European elite.
