Heim - No. 2 of my genesis series „UNITY“

The world is shaped by order and chaos, both found in landscapes. It’s up to the observer’s interpretation, which is which. Conflict and Peace, coexisting to keep a balance: creating UNITY. My genesis series explores the relation between order and chaos, portrayed through my vision as a landscape photographer.

The sun breaks free of morning clouds, bathing the small village tucked away in a fjord of the Faroe Islands in gentle warm light. Life has not always been this idyllic. Centuries ago when the first Vikings invaded and settled down in a Heim, reality was in fact quite harsh. The dark and eerie atmosphere works as a reminder of the turbulent past and its conflicts.
