"Stone is the Foundation" is a piece that explores the concept of a simple stone becoming the basis for growth, stability, and memories.

Using an alternative photography method ( Polaroid emulsion lift ), I transferred a captured frame from Mussoorie, Uttarakhand onto a stone. This was done in response to a building that was cluttered and soon to be gone from that space. My goal was to morph and preserve this frame as a way of remembering that the foundation of those buildings and memories was a stone that laid the groundwork for their existence.
