The concept of cyclical connection and separation inspired exploration into how autonomously driven agents could visually embody our continual cycles of interaction, dispersal, and reunion.

Agents navigate independently on a hidden canvas comprising randomly generated shapes and paths. Like us, they seek connection, crossing paths, diverging, and eventually reconnecting in rhythmic, chaotic patterns. Their trajectories create intricate swirls and entangled lines—symbolizing the lasting impact of fleeting interactions we have across space and time.

The visual result emerges from the accumulated traces of each agent’s journey, forming layered narratives of connection and separation.

The five sliders allow manipulation of palette selection inspired by locations visited during this project's evolution, canvas proportions, palette color cycling, complexity and randomness of track generation, and tightness of the agents’ movements.

Saving options:

*Press 's' to save a PNG of the canvas.

Note: Due to the dynamic nature of the algorithm, there are slight differences in the final render based on floating point operations that vary between browsers and operating systems. I have revised the code many times to minimize these differences, but they persist.
