Most of us were grown up with the principle of "showing the world your best face" - you should not whine, complain, question, speak out uncomfortable thoughts and mostly you should not show yourself vulnerable to other people. These are the biggest mistakes humas can make in modern society. We need visible and "feelable" people more than ever - as this is what connects us and makes us feel united. Do not waste your time and energy building up shiny facades - stay true to yourself, your feelings, your mood and give some of it to the world!

This picture was taken in the staircase of the surgery section of Beelitz Heilstaetten near Berlin/Germany. Originally been built as a sanatory for tuberculosis patients about 1900-1930, the buildings had a moved history during the years. From being used as a sanatory during World War II transformed to a hospital for Russian soldiers until 1994. Finally it stood abandoned for several years - explored by artists, photographers and unfortunately became also a victim of vandalism.

A place with a special kind of energy in it - whispering stories and names from every wall - of the thousands of people that had crossed its way.
