Cemi taggers are an interpretation of the Taino Gods. Dios Del Sol is the sun god. Taino’s believe the sun provides strength, good health and longevity to the people. Dios Del Sol was known to rise from the cave and return to hide when the moon comes out. Taino’s where known to engrave symbols in stone. In this mystical world Cemi Taggers tag the world with their symbol. This project fuses ARRRTADDICT’s love for graffiti and street art with her passion to tell stories of her Indigenous Taino roots.
