“It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.” ― Pablo Picasso
It took me years to code like a professional, but I have a lifetime left to code like a child. So this is the start of my generative art journey where I publish a playful, imaginative and bold project called Thickture.
This study is an exploration in the domain of algorithmicly sculpting and drawing abstract organic structures and patterns. The base material is a noise algorithm, and I have programmed a system on top of that which adheres to a simplistic aesthetic concept. This the first series of three where each are tailored towards their own style. This one is bold and brash. The next is a study on minimalism; what's the bare minimum to generate interesting beautiful genart. And the third is a middleground between boldness and minimal, the sophistication of a mix of both.
