Every colony in Utopia practices their own rites and observances at Solstice times, but a few features remain immutable, such as the homages that are paid to the Jellyfish Queen, the Fire Goddess, and the Mushroom Priestess, among other various deities. They also use the Solstices to celebrate children's birthdays, stage weddings, and honor their deceased ancestors.

The Solstices are entheogen-fueled spiritual rituals; with jellyfish, octopi, fungus, and various insects acting as sacrificial avatars and costumes to channel the spirits that inhabit the Otherworld. The Utopians have long believed they can visit parallel dimensions and reconnect with ancient industrial civilizations when they reach an enlightened hallucinogenic state.
