When the reality of fulfillment arrives, the journey that’s been taken to get there begins to appear differently in memory; the challenges in the way suddenly become the fuel that pushed you all the way and not just a challenge that impeded your progress.

We slowly forget about all the pain that found us along the way, and all that’s left is the beauty of knowing the job is done and the journey is complete.

It eventually becomes bittersweet because you realize part of the destination was always the journey, and all of it is now just a blur of moments in memory.

At this point all that matters is that we’re surrounded by everything we hoped life would turn out to be.
