"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", Phillip K. Dick

The year is 2121. JSON Sakamojo is a teenage boy in the Japanese town of Sendai. He is an android. All androids of his advanced type spend 3 years in a high school, where their neural networks complete their embodied cognitive training, and learn about the world and gain experience in socializing with humans and other androids (and gynoids).

Once a month, JSON meets with his AI trainer, who tracks his progress by downloading scans and engrammatic summaries of his recent experiences. These are in the form of dreams and reveries that are created when JSON's quantum brain undergoes daily information integration and long-term memory formation.

JSON, like many of his human classmates, mainly dreams of hanging out with his school friends, the girls of the school robotics club, and of being invited to join the local boy band "fSync".
