This work is a sensory interpretation of what Dalí may have experienced when surrendering to his paranoiac-critical method. Not the paintings that resulted from it, but the in-between space, the moments of mental flooding, when meaning collapses and the mind begins layering new ones over the ruins.

The sound presses in from all sides. It feels like a machine struggling to breathe, mixed with fragments of memory that don’t belong together. Tones rise without resolution. Rhythms loop at the wrong tempo. There’s a kind of pressure that builds, the same pressure that comes when the mind stops trusting what it sees, but keeps trying to decode it anyway.

I didn’t want to explain the paranoiac-critical method. I wanted to step into it. To imagine what it feels like to live inside a perception trained to fracture. To let the door swing open and stay open, even as it blurs the edges of thought and image.

The line between paranoia and clarity is never fully drawn. That’s where the film lives. And at the end, Dalí smiles, ready for his next masterpiece.
