Lake Urmia, the largest inland lake in Iran and the sixth saltwater lake in the world, was completely destroyed in the last few years due to wrong management. The wrong agricultural system, the construction of many dams along the rivers, and the creation of mines were the factors of destruction. With the destruction of this lake and the remaining of several million tons of salt in its bed, we will witness salt storms in the region and the destruction of many creatures. The salt storm will destroy agricultural products and cause cancer in the people of the region. Let's not forget that this lake was once a resting place for pelicans and we could turn it into a place for tourism. Lake salt, which once had healing properties, will become a problem in the future.
