The second work in a collaborative series between aitso and Matau that utilises film and video game landscapes as a significant component. On this one, it's video game landscapes all the way down.
Type: video collage / analog + digital glitch
Source: video fragments from the video games “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla”, “Fallout 4”, “Ghost of Tsushima” and “God of War: Ragnarök”
File: MP4 / 179.3MB -- 1600x1200 -- 11:07 seconds -- 23.98FPS
Tools: *Matau -- iMovie, Topaz Video AI, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro *aitso -- fermata firefly, sony trinitron crt television, panasonic lumix g85 camera
Process: Video clips were sourced by Matau from the net, edited into fragments via iMovie, upscaled via AI, then further edited/effected in Final Cut Pro. These edited clips were shared with aitso over the net, who then worked his own analog glitch process (using the Fermata Firefly box created by video artist Somfay) across the video fragments he found of particular interest, then sent them back to Matau. Matau then layered and edited a mix of the glitched and non-glitched clips within Final Cut Pro, processing these new mixed layers through Adobe After Effects and combining the AE clips back into the Final Cut Pro mix to result in the completed piece of work.
ClaudeAI assisted with the title.
