Carbon window is an interpretation of our day to day lives. From dusk to dawn, the repetitiveness of a daily routine, blurred into one memory. The journey we make from A to B, work to home and back again. Are we to be always kept in a box? Do we prefer to stay on track? Like a train, do we just chug along from point A to point B, our life routed for us? Do you stare out of your window wondering what if tomorrow was different. Time keeps rolling. It doesn’t stop.
I am never completely sure how the pieces will turn out. The unknown is part of the creative journey and helps me escape the routine.
The mix of different media - 2d characters, photography montage, glitched layers, outlines and loops emphasise the chaos that my mind feels, organised into an ensemble that almost feels too safe. A false sense of security.
