The Eight Dharmas

Gain and Loss: The acquisition of wealth or possessions vs. losing what we have.

Pleasure and Pain: Physical and mental comfort vs. discomfort or suffering.

Praise and Blame: Receiving approval and kind words vs. being criticized or judged.

Fame and Disgrace: Having a good reputation or status vs. being ignored, shamed, or forgotten.
