"With the Terrazo series my intention is to portray the disproportionate and highly disorganized growth of cities, and the tragic, overwhelming misunderstanding of what it means to inhabit a shared space. In a megalopolis like Mexico City, with more than 20 million inhabitants, the already fragile relationship between man and his living space has reached a point of imminent collapse, with catastrophic political, social, economic and environmental consequences. The rapid expansion of the city reflects the situation of many contemporary megacities, characterized by an exhaustion of natural resources, severe economic disparity, pollution, traffic congestion, crime and social unrest". - Pablo López Luz
