Stumbling through a decrepit dwelling, the Temple Fool, along with his faithful dog, encountered a magician draped in a blood-stained cloak. The shadowy figure stood in front of a table assorted with the universe’s building elements. Upon seeing the fool, the magician began to speak with a dry and crackling voice. “Welcome, dear traveller, ” he croaked, a wry smile spreading across his face. “I propose a fair trade. In exchange for your innocence, I will show you the path you need in order to escape the HellSpire.” The Temple Fool pondered for a short moment, underestimating the severity that would befall him if he accepted. “I shall also return your sight,” the Magician added. “Deal!” At once, the Temple Fool’s sight regained focus. Looking down at his trusted dog, his companion began to fade into a pure white light, before disappearing completely. The magician smiled once more before summoning a dark portal and walking through, leaving the Temple Fool alone in the Magician’s cave. A white marble door suddenly appeared behind him, slightly ajar and emitting a gentle light beyond its threshold. Feeling much heavier than he did before, the Temple Fool holstered his master’s remains upon his shoulder and began to slowly approach the exit…
