In general, the Tower represents "divine wrath" with the lightning bolt destroying what has been built and is often interpreted as foretelling disaster and ruin. However, its more positive allegorism is that the Tower represents the divine forces driving the person, taking him out of his comfort in the Ivory Tower so that he can face the world, grow and evolve. The Tower, in a way, represents arrogance being punished.
