Step 2 in the making of this large painting. Values are in place. I'm progressing on the forefront of this image, where the woman is languishing on the edge of a pier. Let me introduce the woman by the way. She is Elvire, my fav' daughter (I only have one).

I like this step a lot. Although the character is the only part of the image that is executed in a realistic way, the scene starts to be easier to read. And the same time, the red volutes of the sea leave plenty of room for the imagination.

I almost stopped there. But then I felt like diving into the red and exploring with some blue and green ...

As a result, this painting doesn't exist anymore in the real world :/
