In the Balkan mountains, between Stara Planina and the Rhodopes, live mythical, magical creatures called the Wulsheda. Few of us have ever met them, but they exist and live with us in the greatest secrecy. Some are capable of altering their appearance and possess powers of metamorphosis; distant relatives of the kuberi, they sometimes appear in the form of a woman. Their intelligence, far superior to that of humans, has kept them away from man and his toxic environment. Drawing their strength from the thousand-year-old granite of the mountain ranges, they are the guardians of knowledge. Endowed with telepathic powers, they can communicate with each other, no matter how far apart they are physically. Certainly linked to one another by a bond that transcends us all. The Thracians would come to them and devote themselves to their benevolence. A village that respected the values of the land was protected from plagues and the fields produced abundant harvests, thanks to the magic of the Wulsheda.
