Description

Imagine a square image made of 5 equal sized horizontal bands of the same colour. Now image each of those bands is assigned a random colour and rotated on its central axis to a random degree by a computer program.

It's theoretically possible (although extremely unlikely), that the computer will recreate the original image. The chances of that are infinitesimally small - with 16 million colours to choose from and 360 degrees of rotation for each band - but it is theoretically possible.

However, in practise what we get are these unique one-of-a-kind abstract images.

As stated above, each image in this series began as 5 equal sized and coloured horizontal bands forming a square image. The result you see here was completely randomly generated.
