King’s & Queen’s

This is a collaboration of work between the amazing Hamideh and myself.

One of the most iconic buildings in the UK, Capital London is Westminster Abbey, also known at the Abbey. A historic church rich in British history.

This is where royals take to the throne when crowned, this is where they get married, this is where many important services take place. This is where the unknown soldier lays from WW2.

Since 1066, it has been the location of the coronations of 40 English and British monarchs and a burial site for 18 English, Scottish, and British monarchs. At least 16 royal weddings have taken place at the abbey since 1100.

The church's Gothic architecture is chiefly inspired by 13th-century French and English styles, although some sections of the church have earlier Romanesque styles or later Baroque and modern styles. The Henry VII Chapel, at the east end of the church, is a typical example of Perpendicular Gothic architecture; antiquarian John Leland called it orbis miraculum ("the wonder of the world").
