He blinked again. He couldn’t tell if it was some acid induced mirage or if the vibrancy and repetition of the pink canopy above was actually there. Was this some Freudian illusion, him willing the world he wished into existence? Or maybe the drug simply allowed him to notice the details he’d become so accustomed to taking for granted. If it was real, he should probably stop and stare at this canopy more often. Maybe that was the key to it all, appreciating what he already had. Maybe he didn’t need to chase pleasure so adamantly, and instead it was more about uncovering it, realizing it in his current state. Or maybe it was just the acid.
