Mara is a goddess from Belarusian pagan mythology. She was called the goddess of death and birth; it was as if she stood on the border of two worlds, received babies and took the dead on an eternal journey. This well describes the history of Belarus as a whole - eternal confrontation. This can be seen from the situation in the country even now. That's why I chose this goddess to describe Belarus and Belarusians. The left side is light, freedom, purity and truth. The right one is lies, poison, blood and death. The world is not divided into black and white, but Belarus is. And one day the light will prevail over the darkness. And the spirit of Belarusians will not fade.
