Three spotlights (Red, Green and Blue) are aimed to a canvas filled with randomly positioned cube blocks. Each light brightens the canvas and projects shadows behind each block. Other three colors (Yellow, Magenta and Cyan) emerge because of the additive property of light.
Shadow Blocks was created inspired by the sculptures made by Charles Biederman (see Structurist Relief, Red Wing Number 1, 1958) and the exploration of light by Olafur Eliasson (see Your uncertain shadow (colour), 2010).
