This is the tiny beach of Nolton in Pembrokeshire, Wales. A minute walk from my parent’s house. A place I took for granted until they were gone within six months of each other in 2022. I went to the beach alone to say a final goodbye.

One special beach that will always be in my heart and a sunset that was made especially for me.

Tears of Rage

I brought flowers to the waters edge and threw them in with blinding tears the gesture tore my heart in two

I sat and waited for a sign and nothing came for hours

As the sun was leaving a ship came into view bathed in the final rays of the day

i thought of you sailing the world your heart always at sea but you stayed on land for your girls

I didn’t tell you how much i loved you until it was too late but you showed up anyway and told me you were proud
