1/1 monsters everyday in October. This series was created by hand using the Monotype Printing Process. A monotype is a single run - non reproducible print. My process begins with laying down etching ink on a plexiglass plate. Then by using various tools, I subtract the ink away from the plate creating various marks and details. The final step is placing a piece of paper over the ink on the plate and running the plate through an etching press. The result is a 1/1 in the physical. Monoytpe print is known as the Painterly Print as it more like a painting, yet uses traditional printing techniques to achieve the result. Thanks for checking it out.
