The System — Page I (Van Gogh)

This work marks the first public articulation of the Root Shape System.

For a few years, I have constructed every composition from a single modular form — a rectangle with two opposite rounded corners and two sharp ones. Over time, this form evolved from a recurring motif into a structural language.

In this piece, Van Gogh is not illustrated but reconstructed. The portrait emerges through density, rotation, scale, and controlled distribution of Root Shapes. No lines are drawn. No features are painted. The image exists as a consequence of structure.

The static construction is then subjected to motion. Through distortion and temporal displacement, the system is tested — bent, fragmented, and reassembled. The shape must survive movement. If it collapses, it was never strong enough.

This 1/1 animated work represents the first visible branch of an expanding system — where constraint becomes identity, and identity becomes architecture.
