'MIKADO' is part of my photographic art serie ‘ REMINISCE ‘.

This series is made in the COVID-period 2020.

The story behind it : Reminiscing in a time of self isolation, looking back at some old photos, thinking about simple childhood food memories that made my happy as a little child, an often nostalgic recalling from long past and gone, that brings an image from the past into the mind, combining it into a few minimalistic conceptual images, together with some old kitchen tools that I have found in my grandmothers barn.

(The serie is six times Internationally awarded & shown on Belgian television)

In my work, i play with the viewers perception, exploring the boundaries of traditional photography combined with digital techniques.
