handmade on puter

We visited a fabric studio in a rural area outside the city in Okinawa. This was a studio where they hand dyed and printed fabrics by hand meticulously. Their fabric design is so amazing, they could just design the patterns and have fabrics mass manufatured, but then you wouldn't get the hand made quality. Even though I do most of my collage work on the computer (I do make analog collage which I use as material) I feel like it's hand crafted work as I use my eyes and hands to make them. It may not be the same as physically touching the material, but my creative process isn't that different when I'm using the keyboard and the mouse (I still just use the mouse instead of a more fancy input device) to when I'm using scissors and glue to cut paper and stick them together. Both have their qualities, so I would like to use both to make my work.
