Don’t worry, this is not a dead person, it’s another gendarme re-enacting how the victim lay after the accident. Really taking his role very serious. I must say I do admire these gendarmes.

Often at the scene of an accident, my grandfather would ask the police officers to re-enact what had happened, to get a better understanding of how it came to be. This at times resulted in quite absurd and surreal photos.
