Description

QUARANTINE ROLL, Ink on paper, March 15th 2020 to May 8th 2020.

As most of the world is going under strict lockdowns, forced to remain at home, I decided to buy a roll of paper and started to draw. For the first time in my life, I was able to create art for myself, exploring the potential of my 3D softwares, simulating and rendering (see " Alexander "Collection). While waiting for the renderings, I kept drawing on my roll of paper, from left to right, like an Egyptian scribe. I wrote down the days with a pencil, to give the drawing benchmarks.

Anything that was drawn came from my imagination. Nothing was planned and the designs might be related to a movie that I saw, a sentence that I heard, a dream that I had… Some are mythological creatures, some are representations of movement and freedom, the two things I was missing the most.

***Note that if you collect all the pieces of the roll (12 items), you will be gifted a video of the whole drawing. ***
