When creating this piece I was thinking about particle physics and string theory, how these tiny subatomic particles are theorized to dance about and not truly exist in one location, as well as the power we have with our minds and creative vision. I also think it’s a fun idea to depict a physical manifestation of thought… literally something emanating out of one’s body. While exploring auroras, electromagnetism, bioluminescence, internal vs. external, science and nature, I was inspired to create a portrait of a powerful goddess of quantum physics, I imagine exists in an alternate realm.
