Argus Waits is an audiovisual poem with original music, poetry, and performance by TheDigitalCoy. The visuals were created in collaboration with DALLE-2 and combined with the Publicly Private Eye Treatment and an original classical piano composition I wrote, performed, and recorded.
The piece was entered into Claire Silver's "#ClaireAIContest (https://twitter.com/TheDigitalCoy/status/1559433584863170561?s=20)
Eye recall the very moments
Before Eye fell tumbling to sleep:
A field of gold before the starry night
With flowers flowing out and deep
Beyond the view that might be seen
Or imagined by even an all-seeing god
With perfect vision.
Hermes had left momentarily
To fetch a cool, refreshing drink
Within the forest by the creek
Where nymph do bathe
And children play
And hunters seek
A thing to slay.
Eye often set about that place
And sometimes spent the day in chase
In search of strays
From my simple herd
Or to sit and debate
In Hecate’s salon
Until campfires late.
Before Hermes returned,
Eye felt a chill
And look from her
That often kills even gods.
Hera pulled upon my chains
Looked in my heart
And massaged my brain.
Her touch can be gentle
If it is what she needs
But beware of her real thoughts
Her deeds and her true desires
Which often are mixed
With blue fire and ice
Destroy anything?
Twice she will not think.
When he had returned
She had disappeared
But was still there;
Eye saw her ear
Hovering about
With my trusty third eye
She does not know
Eye have no doubt
Eye will not die.
Eye will be free
In my own simple way
Roam about through time
Swim through space
And live the lives of many
See a plethora of things that have not been seen
Through the justice and infinite sympathy
Of my many lifetimes friend
Hermes, the guileful
Hermes, the kind.
