Deforestation is a common practice all over the world and is directly related to the need we have for wood-based resources, for building houses and furniture. Trees are also cut down to make space for places to live. Trees are cut down to make way for food production.

Trees function as an excellent natural thermoregulator. With their shade and the water vapor released by their leaves, they lower the temperature between 2 and 8 ºC on sunny days.
