"Elders world no dey lock every door, em dey leave the good door open." Those who are older still have things they would like to accomplish.

"Stomach no dey afraid, na em make am come dey for front." Only the bold and courageous step up in difficult times.

"As archer like the arrow wey flies, na so he likes the bow wey remains constant for em hand." Archery provides a sense of stability, even though each shot's outcome depends on the archer's draw and release.

"When you dey build your house, a nail con breaks, you dey stop building that house abi you dey change that nail." One who is building a house will not quit building over a broken furniture or tool rather he would replace the furniture or tool and continue building.
