A SNAPSHOT OF THE DIGITAL RENAISSANCE

This collection asks the question 'But is it art?', 2021 is the year of PFP's with the OG's CryptoPunks and newcomers BAYC being sold for millions. This sparked a derivative universe spanning hundreds of thousands of 10k PFP generative projects, with new ones dropping weekly. The darker side to PFP's are the rug pulls and scams, people who come into the space and hype up NFT's the same way they do shitcoins in the Crypto scene, selling at the peak then disappearing. BUT the force is strong with the PFP projects that have built engaging and meaningful communities around their art, these projects I see have transcended art and connected people who through these projects are pushing this digital renaissance forward.
