Its veil is crowned with a garland of fabric knots, as though ritual and ruin had been stitched into one. Beneath the mesh, faint contours of faces ripple in iridescent light, shifting between strangers and familiars in a procession without end.

We witnessed how reflections bled into its surface, reshaped into spectral doubles who spoke truths we had never confessed. In its presence, time braided itself—past conversations recurring, future words leaking backward—until every moment collapsed into repetition.

We filed it reluctantly, for survivors claimed they left part of themselves behind: a voice, a gesture, archived in the lattice. What we carry away is only the echo; what it carries is everything.
