History has shown that a human who is used to living with an adversary will inevitably create an enemy. In other words, in order for a person to be a hero, they must invent an opponent. His belief in his own superiority as a creature lays the path for his desire to be a hero. Given that opposites like good-evil, love-hatred, and hero-antihero (enemy) exist alongside their counterpart, he might feel incomplete without putting an opponent directly opposite of himself. He views both human and nonhuman existence as things to be tormented and destroyed because of his desire to create an adversary around him and his motivations for annihilation and destruction.
