“Sofra” – the gathering place, the shared space, the silent witness to human connection across time and culture.

In Vibrant Sofra, I reimagined one of humanity’s most enduring symbols – the sofra – as a radiant nexus of color, texture, and meaning. Represented in almost all civilizations, the sofra is more than a table or a meal; it is a pattern of coexistence, a space of intimacy, ritual, and exchange. This painting captures its essence not as an object, but as an energy – alive, rhythmic, and deeply rooted in collective memory.

This work reflects my theoretical and visual exploration of the sofra motif wich becomes both a literal and metaphorical centerpiece – a symbol of unity, tradition, and creative continuity across cultures.
