Many people use "mental palaces" to store facts and feelings for easy access in the future. But in our dreams facts and feelings take on a life of their own, and imaginary walls could not contain them within a rational palace. They break the barriers of the possible and roam freely through the dreamlike plains, creating and shaping what makes us be.
