In negotiation theory, BATNA refers to the best course of action available if an agreement cannot be reached — your strongest fallback position.
As an artist navigating contracts, collaborations, and sales, understanding my BATNA is essential. It reminds me that every negotiation has a center of gravity, and that clarity about my own alternatives strengthens my voice at the table.
This drawing came from reflecting on that idea — the tension between possibility, leverage, and self-determination.
